frequently asked questions

  • Because it works! Hypnotherapy is indeed a very gentle, safe and relaxing approach yet very powerful in helping you creating the changes you want. Many medical professionals, psychologists, counselors and therapists are now using hypnotherapy because of its proven efficiency. You may have tried to make positive changes in your life but since your subconscious mind (which accounts for 88% of your mind!) isn't on the same page with your logical and rational conscious mind, you are probably finding yourself experiencing discouragement and self-sabotage.  Hypnotherapy gives you access to your subconscious mind where you can change your mind's programming in order to achieve your goals and live the life you love.

  • Yes. We can all be hypnotized based on our suggestibility and on how we take in information. Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind that we all experience for a few minutes every day before we fall asleep. Anyone who is willing to relax and enjoy the benefits of hypnosis can be hypnotized. Anyone who can follow directions can be hypnotized. However, you can never be hypnotized against your will.

  • The amount of sessions vary with each person and depends on what your goals are, your mindset, your motivation and how much resistance you are experiencing. I usually recommend giving the process 3-6 sessions.

  • Absolutely not, it is a myth. In hypnosis, you can only say or do what you would normally say or do in a consciously. Hypnosis does not involve mind control, magic, or unconsciousness. You are fully aware of all your senses in hypnosis. You cannot be hypnotized unwillingly, and you cannot do or say something you do not want to. Therapeutic hypnosis is not what was depicted on stage. Done by a professionally trained hypnotherapist, hypnosis is a safe, effective and scientifically accepted procedure that is being practiced all over the world right now. Hypnosis requires your participation and consent for it to work. It is important to remember that you are in control at all times. And thanks to hypnosis, you are gaining more control over your life.

  • No, it is another myth. It is truly impossible to get stuck in hypnosis. You are able to come out of hypnosis whenever you want. All hypnotic states end, whether formally ended by the hypnotherapist or naturally by you.

  • Absolutely, online hypnotherapy is just as effective there is no difference. The online technique has become extremely popular since the pandemic. Some people feel even more relaxed and comfortable working from their own home or office which can only add to the positive outcome as we work together.

  • If your goals are beyond self-improvement, a medical referral may be required for issues of pain management and other medical-related issues. Also, if you are already working with another counseling professional, I may ask for a referral from the appropriate professional.

  • Both hypnosis and meditation are an altered state of consciousness, during which we are reaching a natural higher state of awareness, a state that has been scientifically proven to enhance focus, attention, wellbeing, creativity and relaxation. The difference is that in meditation we are an observer while in hypnosis we can be actively engaged and are open to receiving positive suggestions in line with our goals and desires. Hypnosis will have a more specific goal and works much faster.
